Pepper Jelly Sauce
Impress everyone with your own Sweet and Sour Sauce made with your special home-made sweet bell pepper jelly! This sauce has more flavor than anything on the market. Use it on chicken and pork, veggies, and even steak, for an abundance of fresh flavor. You can spread it like a glaze on grilled meats and vegetables in the last ten minutes of cooking; you can pour it over your stirfried meat and veggies, or you can use it for chicken wings baked in the oven. Use your imagination with this unique condiment . . .

1 cup bell pepper jelly

2 large garlic cloves, minced or pressed

1/8 cup orange or pineapple juice

1 tbls cornstarch

¼ tsp ground ginger OR 1 tbls fresh ginger, grated

¼ tsp hot sauce OR ½ tsp minced hot peppers

¼ tsp freshly ground pepper

1/8 tsp coarse salt

1 tbls sesame oil

Whisk cornstarch with juice.  Combine all ingredients in a large measuring cup or glass bowl.  Cook in microwave or on stovetop in a saucepan just long enough to thicken.

Use the sauce with stirfry, grilled meat and veggies, baked wings or ribs, or as a sauce for pan-fried steak or chops.  Delectable with chicken or pork or even steak, serve over noodles or rice with vegetables; a crisp white wine or beer will do perfectly . . .
